On January 10, 2007 Tony Comper, former President and CEO of the Bank of Montreal, and his wife, Elizabeth Comper, graciously hosted a gala fundraising dinner in honour of Necessary Angel. Held on the 68th floor of The First Canadian Place and followed by a performance of Half Life at the Bluma Appel Theatre, the gala dinner served to raise $60,000 for the company. The proceeds were used to establish a new fund, named in honour of the evening’s hosts.
The Tony and Elizabeth Comper Fund for New Works is dedicated to the creation and development of the company’s new projects and endeavours.
