DANIEL MACIVOR – Playwright & Performer
For Necessary Angel: Debut
Other: Daniel MacIvor has been creating new theatre since 1986 and was for twenty years Artistic Director of da da kamera an international touring company based in Toronto which he ran with Sherrie Johnson. His published work includes: I Still Love You: Five Plays which won the Governor Generalʼs Award for Drama in 2006 and most recently His Greatness published by Playwrights Canada Press which won Best New Play at the 2008 Jessie Awards in Vancouver. With Daniel Brooks he created the solo shows House, Here Lies Henry, Monster and Cul-de-sac. He was recently the inaugural Senior Playwright-in-Residence at the Banff Playwrightʼs Colony where he was developing his new play Communion as part of a trilogy, Confession which is being produced by Mulgrave Road Theatre in Nova Scotia and Redemption which he is developing at the National Theatre School. Currently he is Writer-in-Residence at the University of Guelph. He is represented by Thomas Pearson at ICM Talent. Check out Danielʼs web log at danielmacivor.com.

DANIEL BROOKS – Director & Dramaturg
Other: Daniel has been a mainstay of Canada’s theatre community for the past 20 years. He has worked as a director, writer, actor, producer, and teacher. Some of his creations include Red Tape and 86; An Autopsy (with Don McKellar and Tracy Wright); The Lorca Play, House, Here Lies Henry, Monster, and Cul-de-sac (all with Daniel MacIvor); The Noam Chomsky Lectures and Insomnia (with Guillermo Verdecchia); Bigger Than Jesus (with Rick Miller); and The Good Life. His work as a director includes John Mighton’s PossibleWorlds and Half Life, Goethe’s Faust, and Beckett’s Endgame. His most recent play is The Eco Show. He has won and been nominated for many theatre awards. He was the first recipient of the prestigious Elinore and Lou Siminovitch Prize in Theatre for directing. His work has traveled across Canada and around the world. He is currently the Artistic Director of The Necessary Angel Theatre Company.

RICHARD FEREN – Music and Sound Designer
Other: Richard has created music and soundscores for theatre, dance and film since 1992. For da da kamera: Cul-de-Sac, In On It, You Are Here, Monster, Here Lies Henry, The Soldier Dreams, and Excerpts From The EMO Journals. For Daniel Brooks: The Designated Mourner, Faust, Possible Worlds, The Good Life, Betrayal, Endgame and Phèdre. Recent scores: Soulpepper’s Raisin In The Sun, Uncle Vanya and The Real Inspector Hound/Black Comedy; Crow's Theatre's Eternal Hydra; and his own play Round Rotund Rumps. Film scores include Daniel MacIvor’s feature Past Perfect; Valerie Buhagiar's short Tell Us The Truth, Josephine; and contributions for Robert Lepage's Possible Worlds. Richard has received six Dora Mavor Moore Awards, and the 1999 Pauline McGibbon Award.

CRYSTAL SALVERDA – Stage Manager
Other: Crystal is thrilled to be working on This Is What Happens Next. Over the years Crystal has toured internationally and across Canada and has stage managed for Soulpepper Theatre Company, Toronto Masque, Blyth Festival and The Grand Theatre to name a few.
