Alan Dilworth, Artistic Director of Necessary Angel Theatre Company, with Goethe-Institut Toronto, has announced an English translation commission from David Tushingham of Roland Schimmelpfennig's five play cycle Anthropolis.

Necessary Angel invites applicants to our NA LAB Resident Artist program. Applications are now open for a Playwright in Residence (NA LAB PiR) for a two-year residency (2026/27 and 2027/28) and Artist in Residence (NA LAB RA) for a one-year residency (2026/27).

The LAB encompasses Necessary Angel’s artist residency programs, special projects, commissions, workshops, classes, and roundtables.
